Our Candidates Hiring Process

We wouldn’t be one of Melbourne’s leading nursing agencies if we didn’t have a meticulous registration process. To become a fully registered Aktrapid member, each applicant needs go through multiple checks-and only the most qualified succeed.
Step 01

Application

Candidates apply through our website, Seek, or social media campaigns. We also receive a large number of applicants through word of mouth and direct referrals, owing to our excellent reputation among our members.

Phone Screening

Once we have received an application, we then conduct a thorough phone screening to ensure candidate suitability.
Step 03

Interview

The next step is to conduct a full interview, either face to face or via video. Here, we will determine the candidate’s suitability for the role.

Reference Checks

We conduct reference checks to ensure that all information provided matches up and that the candidate will be a good fit for our team.

Competency Test

All candidates undergo a comprehensive competency test using our online portal to assess their knowledge of the required duties for the role.

Documentation

We request all relevant documents and conduct thorough audit to ensure compliance and completeness.

On-site Training

We provide on-site training, including manual handling, infection control, and relevant refresher courses to ensure staff are fully equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively.

First Shift Check-in

Casual Staffing

We understand that there are unforeseen circumstances and that’s why we provide temporary staffing solutions. This service will alleviate many of the pressures you face when dealing with overworked employees and significant overtime costs.

Temporary to permanent

How does it work? Simple. We agree on a probationary period and that’s it, you don’t have to do a thing. Aktrapid will handle the staff member’s payroll, provide feedback and training, and, if at the end of the probationary period everything is looking good, you have yourself a new permanent staff member. If it didn’t work, we will reassess the situation and provide another suitable candidate.

Permanent recruitment

Just tell us what you need and we’ll find the right candidate for you. Our friendly team of consultants will get to know you, your facility and corporate culture and will use this information during our meticulous recruitment process.
