We wouldn’t be one of Melbourne’s leading nursing agencies if we didn’t have a meticulous registration process. To become a fully registered Aktrapid member, each applicant needs go through multiple checks-and only the most qualified succeed.
Step 01

Application

Candidates apply through our website, Seek, or social media campaigns. We also receive a large number of applicants through word of mouth and direct referrals, owing to our excellent reputation among our members.
Step 02

Phone Screening

Once we have received an application, we then conduct a thorough phone screening to ensure candidate suitability.
Step 03

Interview

The next step is to conduct a full interview, either face to face or via video. Here, we will determine the candidate’s suitability for the role.
Step 04

Reference Checks

We conduct reference checks to ensure that all information provided matches up and that the candidate will be a good fit for our team.
Step 05

Competency Test

All candidates undergo a comprehensive competency test using our online portal to assess their knowledge of the required duties for the role.
Step 06

Documentation

We request all relevant documents and conduct thorough audit to ensure compliance and completeness.
Step 07

On-site Training

We provide on-site training, including manual handling, infection control, and relevant refresher courses to ensure staff are fully equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively.
Step 08

Induction

We conduct induction training to ensure staff are prepared and aligned with our shift and work standards before they begin their shifts.
Step 09

First Shift Check-in

We conduct a first-shift check-in to ensure that both the staff and the facility are satisfied with the placement.
Step 10

Ongoing Support

We offer continuous support to new hires, including access to mentors or supervisors for guidance during the initial period of their employment.
Step 11

Career Progression

We provide opportunities for career development and advancement within the organization, including career planning and growth discussions.
Step 12

Performance Review

Regular performance reviews are conducted to assess staff performance, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for further development and career growth.

Inductions for Candidates

All our members go through a thorough induction process on our site or through online video. Induction documents are also available online. This includes general inductions to aged care practises, including medication handling, incident reporting, and much more. We can also provide site-specific inductions for individual clients.
